Hi guys, i am new to eq2 emu
i've followed the instruction
installing a fresh EQ2 rise of kunark, version is 4412

i've amended that ini file to eq2emulator.net
and done creating an a/c for login too.

when i tried logging in,
it says "trying login server #1..."

then popped a windows says "Could not connect to a login server. The servers may be busy;please try again in a few minutes."

i've checked the server status, and all of them are up.

what's wrong with my EQ2?

can anyone please help ?

thanks so much

make sure you don't have any firewalls blocking your ports 9000, 9100, and 9103. you can use http://canyouseeme.org/ to check.

hi
thx for the reply
i've tried switched off all my firewalls of windows
but still getting the same response

i am using win7
is it a problem?

and i've checked the ports given above by using canyouseeme.org
it says refused.
even though the other ports for smtp, pop... they are all refused
but i can still get mails and sending mails.

i dont know what's happening at all

thx for the help again

I'm at a loss here. when it says "connecting" and nothing happens it is a symptom of a connectivity issue between the client and the login server. The login server is indeed working because I've been using it all day so there has to be something blocking the data between your machine and the login server.

Almost everytime I've seen this message is because you have the wrong login server address.
Here is an example of what your eq2_default.ini file should look like...

Code: Select all

cl_ls_address www.eq2emulator.net
cl_screenwidth 1024
cl_screenheight 768
cl_placeholder_base_lods 0
r_stats 0
the only line that should change is the cl_ls_address to point to the emu login server.
