Unknown Zones (still)

Post by John Adams » Thu Apr 01, 2010 2:57 pm

We still have a few zones in our list "undescribed", so I'll ask one at a time til we get them figured out.

Anyone know what zone this is?

At first it looked (to me) like that zone you end up in when you take the spires thingy from commonlands or antonica. But the monsters were too scarey for me so I didn't wander very far ;)

Edit: Ohh, nm... I'm thinking of Barren Sky. :)

I do believe that is just "Realm of Dawn".

Not a possible new zone for the Battlegrounds addition is it? What kind of npcs are listed for that zone?

Nah, this zone file (vpk) has been around since exp02 (Desert of Flame? Or the one with all the fairies ;))

That would appear to be one of the islands in the sky that are part of the zone "The Barren Sky". Possibly either the Island of Discord or the Island of Desolation. If it is part of the Barren Sky it would be accessible from Nek Forest or Thundering Steppes though, not Ant or CL. Or as said before, it could be a zone that was never used for whatever reason.

Thanks, SolarasX. I was thinking it was the Overland teleporter in those zones that took me to Barren Sky(?)

The fact the zone file has the word "arena" in it makes me think it was supposed to be for another Arena zone - and as Zexis said, maybe just never got implemented. I'll leave it as Unknown til someone knows for sure.

That's a KoS theme for an arena map. I've fought there ages ago, not many people uses arena those days.
