Here's a posting template from gamedev to help us with what to put:

LOOKING FOR HELP - REQUIRED TEMPLATE

Help Wanted posts must be formatted according to the template found in this post unless the poster has obtained special permission from me before posting.

Using the template:
Your post should be formatted so that the headings in the template clearly stand out from the other text. Either:
Copy & Paste the template from here to retain bold formatting, or

Ensure that you apply formatting that in some way makes the headings stand out in the post.

Don't forget to give your thread a meaningful title -- it shouldn't be overly long, but do try to be descriptive -- everyone is looking for help, so you don't need to write that in your thread title.

If your project is an MMO your thread title (i.e. what you type in the 'subject' box) must start with "[MMO]"

All sections should be filled out unless marked as otherwise in the instructional text.

The italic text is instructional and explains what should go in each section of the template. It should be deleted and replaced with the relevant information about your project. If (and only if) the instructions say a section is optional you should also leave out the heading if you choose not to fill out the information.

The template:

<b>Team name:</b>
The name of your team or company, though be careful to abide by the faq and not mislead anybody into thinking it's a registered company if this is not true. This section is optional.

<b>Project name:</b>
The name or working title of your game/project. If you have no specific project at present (i.e. hiring for a longer term team) or have not yet named your project you may choose to leave this out.

<b>Brief description:</b>
A brief overview of the project including how long it has currently been in production and a description of the genre and defining features of your game. For those with no specific project a statement of your group's goals or a mission statement can go here.

<b>Target aim:</b>
Shareware/Freeware/retail/etc. For those not forming a team for a specific project, you could put some long or short term plans here.

<b>Compensation:</b>
Can you pay, or are you offering a percentage of potential revenue (this is not the same as up-front or contracted payment)? Can you put it in writing for potential help?

<b>Technology:</b>
Target system, programming language and/or tools, artist tools, sound tools, etc. If you're planning to develop for consoles, expect to be asked how you intend to pay the expensive licencing fees and aquire appropriate dev-kits.

<b>Talent needed:</b>
List the people you need, their expected tasks and any experience needed.

<b>Team structure:</b>
List the people who are currently in the team, how long they've been there, and most importantly what YOU do.

<b>Website:</b>
Link to your website, even if it's a work-in-progress. Use html tags to make it a clicky link. If you don't have a website you may leave this section out, but it is recommended particularly for larger projects that you set up something.

<b>Contacts:</b>
Your email address/forum/etc...

<b>Previous Work by Team:</b>
Short description/links to previous projects by the team or prominent team-members to show your experience, otherwise 'none'. This section is not optional.

<b>Additional Info:</b>
Anything else you want to say, snippets of the story/design, screenshots, etc. This section is optional but strongly recommended, most people should be able to think of something.

<b>Feedback:</b>
NONE/ENCOURAGING ONLY/ANY
Choose what level of feedback you'd like to recieve, and delete the one that doesn't apply.

Good work Bolly. I just split it to avoid getting off track around here. I'll probably make up these ads, we can run a few submissions and versions through. If you guys have any ideas/suggestions/ads to submit, just post it here. Remember, this is to keep this place running!

Here's a brief sample to get you started :-)

<b>The EQ2Emulator project</b>

<b>Brief description:</b>
Our aim is to emulate the Everquest II experience as close as possible to the actual live game by Sony Online Entertainment. Our project consists of a very small team of C++/LUA Developers, Content Developers, and Alpha Testers and we have been working on this project for three years. Soon, we will be releasing our last Alpha 0.7.0 version, which provides support for ROK/TSO clients ONLY (will not support Sentinel's Fate client) and our current Content data and scripts.

<b>Target aim:</b>
The EQ2Emulator Project is offered to the community as an "Open Alpha" project; which means while our server is not yet completely developed or thoroughly tested, players may get their hands on the source code, binaries and a rudimentary database and get right to playing or developing their own EQ2 worlds.

<b>Compensation:</b>
None, this is a community project.

<b>Technology:</b>
Windows, Linux, libmysql, zlib

<b>Talent needed:</b>
The EQ2Emulator team is currently seeking developers (c++) to join the team to aid with the the development of the server source. A significant amount of work has already been completed and we need more developers to help work on the finer mechanics of the game. It would be recommended, but not necessary, that applicants have some experience of EQ2 and how it functions.

<b>Team structure:</b>

<b>Previous Work by Team:</b>
Some of the members of this project have at some point been part of the EQEmulator project as well as new comers.

I like it, i just edited it a tiny bit as we could use more Lua developers, and we are trying to get SF to work, but ts proving to be difficult.
