Database Content from Update

I downloaded the server source code and compiled it. I got the server loaded up and it ran the database update just like the guide said it would :D . However, I noticed that there is not much data in the tables. For instance, the items table has only two items in it. I understand that there is no public release yet but I was hoping there would be more data as I'd like to start playing around with the source code to see if I can contribute anything. I was hoping the update would at least be somewhat similar to what TessServer has. Did I possibly do something wrong or am I going to need to add a bunch of items so I can start testing things?

Go to the portal page and READ the Second and Third announcement.

You should find what your looking for right there.

I guess when I read that post (State of the Database) and saw it was from a year ago, I though that maybe something had changed. The only custom database download that I've seen on this site, the link doesn't work. I'm more interested in making changes to the C++ code, so having to populate the database to test things is a bit of a pain. Guess, I have no option then. Thanks for the response. :o

The Release of our database (TessEQ2) and the ServerPack, both links work fine. Just checked them. As felich said, they are the top 2 news stories on the Portal. Can't miss em.

Thanks for the reply John. I see now. When you guys were saying the portal page, I was thinking (http://www.eq2emulator.net/index.php) as that's where the portal link in the menu goes to. I must have a cached version of that page as those posts weren't there. It wasn't until I went to the Announcement forum that I saw the posts you are talking about. Thanks for the help!
