/loot and /lootcorpse Commands Question

Post by Rhas » Tue Jun 01, 2010 9:45 pm

Can someone who has an EQ2 live account test the /loot and /lootcorpse commands? Is there a distance from corpse limit where the command doesn't work? I've implemented them in the emu, however they appear to work from any distance. I just wanted to make sure this is the way it is on live.

I also noticed that the left-click on corpse or right-click and select "loot" seems to be handled by the client to see if you are too far away from the corpse. If you are, then they don't send a request to the server.

Cool thanks. One more request if you get on live. Can you test the /random command as well. What happens when you use it these ways (what messages do you get)?
  • /random
    /random 100
    /random 1 100
    /random foo

/loot and /lootcorpse: You have to be within 10m, otherwise you get "You are too far away to interact with that" message and a sound.
/random - "Random: <PlayerName> rolls from 1 to 100 on the magic dice...and scores a 47!"
/random 100 - same as above
/random 1 100 - same as above
/random foo - same as above

Great! Thanks for looking into that for me. Does anyone know what the distance measurement is in, in the emu? Is it meters? I can left click and loot a corpse from somewhere between 11-13 units in the emu.
