Hello EMU Community

Post by Mithanel » Mon Aug 16, 2010 2:10 am

Hey everyone!

Like to introduce myself an tell you about myself. I've been a advid fan of the EQ1Emu community back when Planes of Power was fresh out up till Omens of War. I could say playing back then gave me some of the most rememorable memories of EQ1 I had growing up.

I've been watching this project since it was 1st announced and hopefully I can enjoy either hosting my own server or joining some of those already up.

Hope to see you guys & gals in-game!

(Off-topic question) If you have up to Sentinel's Fate installed, is there anyway to back-patch to Client 6196L ?
Currently at 1.0.0.1

Welcome!

As a side note I would also love to see an update for GU58 which is on test and launching on tuesday :-) Or if someone could write a procedure for how we do it ourselves

Uhh Bolly? You of all people should know the current state of our client compatibility. How exactly are we to make GU58 compatible, when we haven't even gotten SF box client compatible yet? Because we don't know how, because LE's gone, and if we could write a procedure, don't you think we'd have SF client compatible by now? ;)

Silly man.

Hey, speaking of LE. Someone needs to kidnap him and only free him if he helps :)

Welcome to the community.

As it stands, there is no way to back patch, as that question seems to have gone under the radar. There is a >SLIGHT< possibility your client will work, as mine has worked with SF fresh install, or an update or two later. This is not even remotely official support, just something that worked for me. Don't complain if it doesn't work, cause technically it doesn't.

Edit: No dice :(
