I think that many people swing by this site, carrying many ideas related to content design and general development concepts, but have no idea where to put their suggestions without stumbling across the suggestion box forum. They see that their suggestions don't fit the requirement, so in the description, they are pointed to the database forums. After looking around the database forums, they find no posts relating to suggestions of content, database, and spell/races/general concept designs, so they get out of the forums, and give up on the suggestion.
I'd like to make a suggestion to make a forum spot just for database, content, and general design concepts, so suggestions can have an easier flow, instead of being able to put those suggestions in a few forums, but not seeming to be able to post them in those forums.

Re: Suggestions
Server, Content and Database "suggestions" should be considered Development, and every one of those aspects of the project have a Development forum, and the server and content forums have "submission" forums for a place for anyone to post things they have worked on and would like to see added to the core project.
I'm not sure even more forums would help reduce confusion, but I'm open to the notion.

Re: Suggestions
For those looking to add in their ideas to development, but have no developing experience or anything to submit, looking through the development subforums is a bit intimidating and confusing, as all of the other posts are in developer language. Considering the timing and situation of the surrounding ties to EQ2, and what is likely to happen, I'd highly recommend grouping the suggestion subforums together.John Adams wrote:Server, Content and Database "suggestions" should be considered Development, and every one of those aspects of the project have a Development forum, and the server and content forums have "submission" forums for a place for anyone to post things they have worked on and would like to see added to the core project.

As of now, those looking to participate in EQ2emu are face-to-face with an unfinished, pre-development set of understanding, and the forums dive people right into development. Even if developers are the focus at the moment, there isn't a sense of growth amongst the forum structure for people who are new to the development experience. No growth, no support, and the project is met at a stand-still. The process of development needs to be faced from all angles, whether it is psychological or coding logic.
