TASK: Character Create AUDIT

Post by John Adams » Thu Mar 24, 2011 7:32 am

Yes, there are a lot of AUDITs going on around here lately... our team is sifting through our core data, making sure every opcode, appearance, visual state, skill, etc... are all up to 100% accuracy. This is all back-end stuff, and we have a lot to comb through, so here is a fairly tedious task that you - the community - could get involved in for us. Takes little effort, but is time consuming and detail oriented. You ready?

I need you to create characters. Over and over. Starting with 1 race, seeing what it's appearance is in Character Select, choosing all different hair, beard, wing, etc styles... and once created, log into the world competely and verify the character looks like how you should expect!

I just created a human with black hair and a beard. When I got into the world, he had red hair and no beard. That's what I'm talking about.

You can use any supported client, ROK 4412, TSO 5040 through 6118, but no SF or EQ2X clients as they are not supported yet.

If more than one of you wishes to participate in this task, talk together here or in PMs about what RACE you will start with, so you are not duplicating your effort.

Remember, you have to manually set every slider between each character create. Every hair style, anything that changes the characters appearance (except skin/size, we think that's working fine). The mission is to find out why we lose our hair and wings when we hit someone's world, and fix that data.

Thanks in advance. You may start anytime. Use Tess, or a serverpack. Tho Tess might have more up-to-date data.
