Simplify adding mobs.

This is just an idea i had tell me what you think.
In everquest 2 there are movable objects that you can freely move bye clicking on them.
So if we could spawn all the npc's / objects in the zone with the fields / id of movable move them to their proper place then issue a command to save the current zone npc's to the database it could speed up db making lot.
Then we just replace the values with what the should be as non movable afterward.
I don't know if this is possible but it would be very cool if it is.

Hmm, very interesting idea. I'll put it near the top of my to do list.

This does sound pretty cool. More or less a wysiwyg type db editor for data placement of spawns and what not. But, I though loc's of these things were already gathered by the PC and then parsed into the fields needed in the DB.... buy maybe im way off on something else.

These values are parsed but the problem is with spawns whenever you see a spawn you get its value so you may have 10 or the same spawn and you won't know what one is the correct value. Also if a mob moves around you could also get an incorrect value.

Many (I'd say 50%) of my collected NPCs are 3 feet in the air in the emu server world. So definitely, click-drag or even a target / spawnfix command would do fine. I like the graphic movement idea, if it's relatively easy to implement in a short time. Otherwise, I'll take a /spawnfix (at my coords) option.
Slightly off-topic, but I am noticing I cannot mouse-click to target my NPCs. I have to use F8. Is this expected behavior at this time?

That happens when the location id is not correct I have been finding it is not correct alot.

Now that you mention it, the field "location_id" is always 0. What should it be? A grid ID?

Yes location id = grid id.

OK, is there another place in the game where you can move objects besides inside your house so that I can grab packets of this? I am currently able to freely move NPCs around a zone, but they are extremely sensitive to the terrain. Even the slightest bump causes them to turn red (and wont let you put them there). There has to be something that I am missing that allows you to adjust the terrain sensitivity.

Yes in the splitpaw areas you can move barrels and some other objects you can also move the pumpkins in the starting zones / antonica. Want me to capture some packets of me moving objects around?
here are directions to movable objects.
