1)
Super screwy updates for fresh install
Just goes blehhhhh about table_versions not existing (as its a blank db) and many many more
2)
Also i was forced to delete my server accounts and orphan characters cause the password system was broken in the server admin section of the website, creating a new server account got around it but I still have the error above

Variables table too, someone should really test a fresh eq2world once a month or something
(CREATE TABLE variables (
variable_name varchar(64) NOT NULL default '',
variable_value varchar(255) NOT NULL default ''
) TYPE=MyISAM': #1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual th
at corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TY
PE=MyISAM' at line 4)
Now to see whats changed!

bolly, it is your punishment for abandoning us.
And fyi, we all rebuild our DBs quite often. If you mean starting a DB from scratch, it works perfectly fine. As for updating an existing one (why do you even have a MyISAM table? Those have been gone for 2 years?!) well if you added your own fields or customized it in any way, our auto-updater will have a fit.
What you should have done was turn on Verbose in LoginServer.ini, gotten the exact SQL errors, and posted them here for me to take a look at. I cannot reproduce the problem. If you have a backup of your pre-patched DB, export it, zip it, and PM it to me, too.

No this is weird! It was a completely fresh install of mysql - I'm at work at the moment but i will get home and provide some testing feedback for you but it's almost like the online updater is sending that myisam flag
I grabbed eq2emu binary, fixed the incorrect eq2emulator update hostname in the config file, changed the port to 3 etc and then it began downloading patches but failed to create some tables
I literally had an empty 'eq2' database to begin with (mysql 5.5 btw, not sure if that is relevent)
My internet is down since my house mate moved out but I am signed up again for thursday so i'll get you some more info and maybe even update the wiki some to cover the changes but man i had so much trouble finding it when i went to a cyber cafe to grab it

Also trying to grab the server pack from two locations and both are downloading at 1000 bytes a second it's taking forever
Any chance of mirroring it on google code?
Cheers!

Googlecode is a good idea. I'll work on that.
Meanwhile, I moved the ServerPack download to a different server here, one which is not having issues.
