Hi folks, just thought I'd check in. I have my first server set up, micronville, and hopefully it will all go smoothly as I get to know this setup.

I'm a Linux Systems Engineer specializing on RHEL / Fedora / CentOS / etc and long time EQ player. I haven't really been playing the live game for about a year as I switched over to LOTRO for a while, then got bored. However I've always wanted to see what the grass was like on the "other" side of the house.

Hope to see you all around.

Hey Jason, Welcome to The Emulator.

It seems like you know your stuff, and your well under way, but for what it's worth feel free to ask questions!

Looks like you've done that too! Nice to have you on board!

I'm the Community Manager around here, I'm the big friendly face of The Emulator!

All the best!

Thanks! Pretty extensive stuff here. I'm hopefully going to start populating my world this weekend... I'm looking around here and there appear to be some worlds here with some nice database setups already. Hopefully I can just import some of the tables that I want to use from one of those somehow to get me going as a reference point.

I'll get it!

And thanks again!

Juxtaposing is key for ironic humor.

Or at least it might be, I am unsure about my certainty on that. I'm confused.

Or am I?

I like to woefully unpretend to think that I like that aspect of myself.

This is what exam study breaks do to me. It's a nightmare.
