Crash-fest

Post by Trahelion » Thu Jul 21, 2011 3:46 pm

Hey guys! I got my copy in the mail today and set it up. I am so excited to be joining you all!
There is one slight problem I seem to be having, however.

I crash. A lot.
Infact, I crashed more than I played.

So far I have only had luck with playing around on the Froggy french server. The other one has no spells / starting gear.
I can play eq2x perfectly so I am quite certain it is not on my end.

Most of the crashes are after killing something or doing a quest turn in OR when logging in and it goes to place my character in the zone (in other words right at the end).

This is what shows up in my Crash file.

I am running on Windows 7 64 Bit Toshiba Satalite with Radeon Graphics card, etc etc.

I tried running it as administrator and under windows XP compatibility mode to see if it would help.

Thankyou for any future help ;)

Thankyou for the response! :) I found the patcher that is listed on the main page *Face palm* Read some threads about it, and patched it to the suggested client and just loaded it up now ;)

Now there is my one last question/issue - Is it normal to start off on the eq2emu server without gear/spells?

N'ere mind. Once I lvl up I get the spells.

I am guessing there are no pet classes working (Or atleast the Necro)?

Marvelous! I am super happy to be able to help in any way I can. Maybe I'll check the library for code writing books ;)

I am unable to get onto the eqemu server but I can connect to Froggy's French server.

The eqemmu one gives me "Not responding in a timely manner" warning.
I have noticed there is someone currently on the server before I tried logging in and it still does so I don't think I am crashing (Or maybe it just 'says' that)

Its too bad because It would be nice to play and talk to someone ;)

Thanks guys.

(NOTE- Anyone who has the problem I was having before- http://eq2emulator.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2682 )

It's not you, the code is back to getting stuck in Deadlocks that never report a problem.

Getting extremely frustrated.

Keep trying, and thanks for your patience. Mine is nearly expired.

:D Don't worry, My obnoxiously refreshing optimism will help! I like this project and what it does. But as long as I am not shelling out cash I have little worry.
