Been trying to figure out what controls the armor type...I added this item to the DB but I would like it to be Plate Armor. I have tried changing the icon value with no luck.

For the appearance of the item when equipped add the information to the item_appearances table. As far as the text that comes up listing the item type, I believe that it is the sub_type field in the items table. Try changing it to 24.

After some poking around with the sub-type it seems like it controls the icon background color and the right click menu choices of the item. You may get a different menu depending on if the item is equipped or not.

where do you find the information to go into `equip_type` in the item_appearances?

I still dont understand how to make the items show up on the player, can you maybe give me a 1 2 3 step tutorial so i get the basics please?
