You realize, Collectors Edition probably won't work, right?

It's not about the box set, it's about the version of Everquest2.exe ... and we did not get every .exe working, only box releases that were available at the time.

Without packetlogs, there is no new client compatibility.

collectors edition was released at the same time as the normal SF box set i thought well will have to see which version it is running.

If they are close, you can still succeed by using our client Patcher to get to 6118L (nearest thing to a working SF client).

I thought Collectors Ed was released months later, so hopefully that's not the case!

That is excellent news. Maybe there was another "Collectors Edition" I am thinking of? You know SOE, they'll shit out a new box set if the day happens to end in a "y"...

6120L could probably let you connect without back patching since it's so close. (could be the same data version for us).

It is not. It is 1011 or some odd version there was no way to get data for, since it was not yet released. Release (patched) SF first version was 1012+

This is why back-patching to 6118L works.

I think you are thinking of the Anniversary Edition, John.
