Pets

Post by Trahelion » Wed Oct 05, 2011 5:02 pm

Okay, I am feeling a bit bold.
I'm a pet class person and would really like to see them working. I have a subscription for a little less than a month on the Xtended server which will allow me access to all the classes. Is there any way I can glean the nonsense needed for getting the pets to work here?

If not, Can we somehow translate EQemu's pet script (Or maybe bot script - linking their commands to their buttons and such if possible) into the server?

Pet's haven't even been considered yet as far as how we might implement them. We have logs of players and NPCs with pets, but until we start determining what is exactly needed to implement Pets, we cannot even tell you what to go try in-game to collect the data.

This will not work at all. EQEmu is not even close to EQ2Emu in how it functions under the covers. We might share some code in the deep end, but the two emulators are vastly different.

Good suggestion, just a wee bit pre-mature for this project I'm afraid.
