First, thank you very much for this wonderful project ! I wish to all the team a long life and thx again for all your very good job !
I was playing EQ2 and i was hoping one day it will be possible to play on our own server, like i'm just doing on my WoW server actually !
So, i do have a problem (oh, really ? lol). When i run World.exe from the folder c:\EQ2Emulator0.2_Binary , i have this problem : the database stays empty. Only the table "table_versions" is loaded into the database and nothing else...
When i login into EQ2, i can choose and set a character. I see my server online and ok, but when i clic on the "Finish" button, i have an erroe saying "There was an error that prohibited the server from letting you play. Please try again in a few minutes."
Would you please help me ?

OK, I discovered the problem. It was caused a few days ago when I changed some of the protocols that world uses to communicate with the Login server. I hadn't thought about older clients when I implemented it Anyways, I'll be releasing version 0.3 tonight or tomorrow that fixes the problem and also incluses the fixes for the Kunark client.

Does that mean us cheap skates who don't run right out and buy RoK can still play with the current emulator code as it progresses? I'm holding off purchasing anything new until I see more confidence and less speculation from those trying it
No offense, but I'll only buy RoK fro the EQ2Emu, since I do not really play the live game anymore. Can't waste my money if what I buy isn't going to work.

Yah I have done my best to ensure that both clients work for at least the immediate future. I am only updating WorldStructs.xml for the new client, but you should still be able to use version 0.3 with your old client as long as you dont update your WorldStructs.xml file. If you do use the old client and WorldStructs.xml file be sure to keep your server private. Otherwise alot of people are going to start having problems when they connect to your world with the latest client.

It sounds like the purchasable box is compatible. I guess I am just reading different opinions or results and am sorta unsure. I can buy a copy and try it, I guess. It's not that expensive anyway.
