Hi everyone.
Ok, i have downloaded and unzipped the file EQ2Emulator0.3_Win32Binaries.zip onto the system root C:\.
- Run wamp
- Set the both config files LoginServer.ini and world_db.ini found into the subfolder "Config Files"
- Run the world.exe file and error "can't find the file Zlib.dll" (i've downloaded that file on the net, it's ok) but the command window was just flashing and closes immediatly.
- Then, i have moved all the files from the subfolders into the EQ2Emulator0.3_Win32Binaries root one.
Now, world.exe opens and crashed "World.exe has encountered a problem.... Excuse us for ...". Just need to clic on the "close" button.
Sorry to bother, perhaps i've done something wrong ?
Thank you very much for your help.
Phidium.
P.S. I still have Kingdom of Sky because i've left EQ2 the 08/16/2006 . Do i need to buy the Rise of Kurnak extension ?

Sounds like your zlib.dll file isnt the correct version. Try this one:

Code: Select all

http://eq2emulator.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/eq2emulator/zlib.dll?revision=15
(Copy and paste the whole link into your browser)
Let me know if it works and I'll start including it into the zip files.

I had the same error it worked fine after i compiled it myself though. did you move the file into the correct positions I think from the zip some files need to be moved.
Once I compiled it it did not complain about zlib.
"im on windows vista are you?"

Hello,
Thank you very much LethalEncounter . With your zlib file, it works perfectly now :)
chrrox : I use Windows XP Pro 32 bits :)
