ok guys i know this has been talked about in several post, just want to clarify for myself. Ok ROK right out of the box V4412 is the desired/supported client now? or would you like us to patch to live before tonight or was that just an option?

I think it is an option.

Yes it is an option, but if you have the RoK disc set you might as well. The client is a lot more stable, the zones are completed, and the character select options for Sarnak's are more complete. Both the box set version and the updated client will be supported.

I have the RoK disks, but I figured it would be better to update for the above reasons. Besides, I can always just reinstall RoK if I had to.
With my experience dealing with updates in EQEmu, I have gotten a little over cautious. I have 4521L and 4523L backed up until I am sure which will work. I'm even verifying that there is no update today, just in case. It's a shame the EQ2 directory is just a little to big to fit on one DL DVD, or even two regular DVDs.
