Hi everyone,
Ok, i still have a problem. The DB is loaded with no problem. I can login into the game using my login/password. I make a new character. When finished, i choose a name for my char, i select my server (or another one if available) and when i clic on the "finish" button, i see "Updating characters list" then, coming back to the start screen with an error saying "There was an error that prohibited the server from letting you play. Please try again in a few minutes.". I have tried many times to make a new char, but still the same problem, in loop...
Do you have an idea where is the problem from ?
Thank you very much for your help and sorry to bother.

More than likely it is a error with your LoginServer.ini file. Verify that the worldaddress is your correct IP and disable internalworldaddress by putting a # character in front of it.

Hi LethalEncounter,
Thank you very much for your answer, but i'm sad to tell you i have tried with worldaddress=localhost or worldaddress=192.168.1.2 (internal ip), plus add a # at the starting line #internalworldaddress= and still the same... "There was an error that prohibited the server from letting you play. Please try again in a few minutes.".
Do i need to change something for "Defaultstatus=" and "Unavailzone=" under "[WorldServer]" ? Do i need to change something into the DataBase ?
Thank you very much for your help, and again, sorry to bother.

I am getting the same error when trying to create a charactor on my server as well (though I am not sure my server is setup correctly, but thats another thread) However, when I try and log on to my server with the character I created before it lets me, but he is not level 70 like the select screen says, he is 1 and also no / commands work on him.
If I create a charactor on someone elses server, it lets me and says its logging me into the world, then drops me back to the password screen.

Do you have any errors appearing in your World console window? Do you have both CommonStructs.xml and WorldStructs.xml in the folder with World.exe?

You probably have copied all your files from live, so thats why you still see the 70 toon. You can delete the files under the /logincache and /logincache-us folders, and let the emu client recreate them.

Hi everyone,
Yes, i do have the both files into the same folder.
I'll try the 0.4, perhaps it will work ? anyway, where can i see my EQ2 client version exactly ? perhaps the problem is from there ? Perhaps my game is too old ?
Thank you for your help, and gratz for all your very good work !!!!

Have you guys tried putting in localhost instead of your lan ip to play on your own server. Also make sure eq2emulator.net is in your eq2_default file in ur client folder. To find your client version try running the game in windowed mode.
Hope this helps a lil..

Purchase the RoK box from a store. Pretty simple, and its your only chance at using the emulator at the moment.
