EQ2Emulator - Recruiting for 2013!

Post by John Adams » Thu Dec 13, 2012 8:12 am

All,

We are recruiting Developers (C++, C#, LUA) as well as Content Designers (MySQL, LUA, solid game knowledge) for our 2013 team. We also need Wiki Authors, as our Wiki is extremely out of date.

The C++ tasks ahead are to first get the Chains of Eternity client as compatible as previous versions before beginning new feature development, and maintain the Destiny of Velious compatibility as well as retrofitting EQ2Emulator to still function with previous expansions from Rise of Kunark through Sentinel's Fate (we're still determining if supporting these older clients is a viable option).

The C# tasks are tools - we need tools development in a bad way. More details on this when C#-minded people express an interest.

The Content Designer tasks are taking the raw data collected over the last 5 years and turning it into a playable world. We've had levels 1 - 10 on our Test Center for 3 years... it's time to add more content. Zcoretri and I are working on finalizing raw data which should be ready for Content development in Jan 2013.

For Wiki Authors, all you need to do is help document what currently works. No technical expertise is necessary for the general documentation of systems and features, but an ability to follow documentation standards and good spelling are required ;) I do want to document more technical aspects of EQ2Emu, but don't let that dissuade you from offering to Author other things for us.

If you are interested, click the PM button under my name and tell me what your skills are and which task you may be interested in.

Thanks in advance for your help.
