EQ2TC - New Content!

Post by John Adams » Sat Jul 27, 2013 12:33 pm

Greetings, Community!

As of today, our Test Center server (EQ2Emulator) has been refreshed with the current development content for DB Milestone 2, created solely by theFoof - a new member to our team in 2013. After reviewing the Frostfang Sea (Pilgrim's Landing) area, I know you too will be impressed by the incredible live-like game play you will find there. theFoof has done an outstanding job!

With Pilgrim's Landing nearly completed, the devs and I decided that it was time to move the new content to EQ2TC for you to check out and test. This of course means a wipe of EQ2TC's current content, and thus marks the end of the DB Milestone 1 era... she served us well ~RIP~

Since the database is essentially starting over, here are a few things you should be aware of on EQ2TC:

Players:
  • All characters have been reset to level 1 vs re-rolling the character database
  • Thusly, all player-related data has been reset (Buy Back, Factions, Items, Quests, Skills, Spells, Hotbars and Titles)
  • All instances have been reset (not that there were any :))
  • Spells/Arts are still the old ones for now, just so you have some to use
Content:
  • FrostfangSea is the only zone with content, so all players will start in that zone regardless of choice during creation (for now)
  • All other zones on the server are LOCKED while we work on additional content
  • All bugs relating to Content previous to today have been closed - we'll use them for reference when we back fill Milestone 1 content
Coming Soon!
  • Darklight Wood (KhaineGB)
  • Greater Faydark (Scatman)
  • Timorous Deep (???)
  • CoE Spells/Arts (John Adams)
  • AA/Character Development (Zcoretri)
  • Continued server core development (Jabantiz/theFoof)

All in all, 2012 was a great year of revamps, squashing bugs, learning to keep Live compatibility again, and new features - and 2013 will be the Year of Content.

Thank you all for your continued interest in our little project.

- The EQ2Emulator Team
