BulletCatcher checking in.

Post by BulletCatcher » Fri Jan 02, 2015 10:36 am

I sure would like to hel this project out anyway I can. Im more of an infrastrucutre IT guy as opposed to a software or DB type IT guy. I would love to see this become popular.

Im not sure what I should do to help though. I have started to DL the f2p client from SoE and will attempt to conenct tonight.

Is this project still active? I see some activity on the forums but not much.

again, anything I can do to help, I would love to.

Welcome to the forums.

Yes we are still active just a very small team and most of us are swamped with rl at the moment so not much activity here.

Currently the best ways to help is content, research, or test what content we have.

Content design is just using John's web editor to spawn spawns we have from logs and verifying them to what is currently on live, as well as LUA scripting quests and spawns. If scripting is not your thing that could be skipped and left for some one else.

Research is mainly compiling info from live such as how much stats a character gets per level and what effects the amount given such as race or class, as well as skills and what the tool tips say mainly so we can come up with a table or equations to improve the combat here.

Testing our content is just that, log on and play through the content that we have and any issue do a /bug in game. Not much playable content at this time but then that is why our current priority is getting content into the world.

Just let me know if any of that interest you and I can point you in the right direction.

I'm hoping to get back into content development and start scripting. I plan to get a server running again and seeing what I can do. I've since taken a programming course and have a much better understanding on programming. I still remember back when I first tried working with LUA... so many things I now realize I was doing wrong!

If you have any questions regarding our LUA feel free to send me a pm, or when you are ready to start working on content.

Don't forget all the scripts on the EQ2Emu server is on content svn (link to svn info on the left), lots of examples for any one to look over.
