Is this possible? EQ1 version of EQ2

So what I would like to do is run an EQ2 server with the following EQ1 settings:
1. Mobs that don't leash - reintroducing TRAINS
2. Longer fights - more tactical - like EQ1 - more mob HP, softer hits on both sides, need to mez adds etc.
3. Removing the maze feel of the maps - i.e. removing the non zone wall walls.
4. Bot controls like EQ1AXClassic servers - using merc's.

Is this possible?
Or am I just dreaming?

This is possible with the LUA ai

Currently you can adjust stats on spawns that could make the combat longer, combat equations in general need more work and will have multipliers so you can set a simple rule to raise or reduce the damage. So in the future yes this should be possible.

This is client side so no, when they introduced flying a lot of the zones got better but what is left we can not alter.

We have not started on mercs yet so it is still up in the air what it will support. Just to clarify do you want mercs to have all the features that EQEmu bots have or do you want separate systems like it is over at EQEmu?

Thanks for all the answers.

That's a lot of great info.
I'm looking for bot functionality like EQemu... Something that makes group or raid play possible if there aren't enough other players around. So BOTs not mercs - I guess.

It's too bad SoE didn;t just release this game in the right format from the start - a couple little mistakes really ruined the EQ feel.

I'm so glad you all are working on this.
