For some reason I can not connect to my server darkelf. I believe I had foward my port 9000. I used to never have a problem when I ran eq1 server but since then I upgraded my internet that comes with a built in router since it includeds a internet phone line. I used active ports program to see what ports where open and here is a clip. I noticed at the bottom world is open 3times 1 for 9000 which shows 0.0.0 and another one showing 9100 port foward to 192.168.1.2 and another world going to 127.0.0.1. funning thing is I did not set 9100 port so not sure what is wrong . any suggestions.

Code: Select all

World.exe 3100 0.0.0.0 9000 LISTEN UDP F:\eq2emu\World.exe
This is the port that World is listening to. 0.0.0.0 means it is listening on all interfaces.

Code: Select all

World.exe 3100 192.168.1.2 2231 69.60.121.221 9100 ESTABLISHED TCP F:\eq2emu\World.exe
That is the login server that World is connected to.

Code: Select all

World.exe 3100 127.0.0.1 2230 127.0.0.1 3306 ESTABLISHED TCP F:\eq2emu\World.exe
That is the database you are connected to.
World looks normal and is listening correctly. If you can't login it might be that the IP address in your LoginServer.ini is incorrect or a router/firewall is blocking the connection. Don't forget about the windows xp firewall.

LE,
Would that I also would have to make sure 9000 and 9100 our open too? on the router and also on windows firewall right? See if you can login into the server LE its called Darkelf. if you can then it probally is te router.
