Arrows and Sitting

Two things I thought of today and could not get working, or at least one. First off are arrows, I remember in Deathfist the arrows would come from above and strike you in the pits. Does something like that currently work? Also can you actually make an npc sit on a park bench, I tried many different states but could not actually get them to fully sit.

I am honestly not sure how arrows work, never looked into them. Assuming they are just a spell effect then yes it would be possible.

If it is the same race as a player character then they will have the same animations so yes it will be possible to get NPC's to sit, it is just a matter of finding the right animation id

Tried all four visual states I see for sitting in a chair, a couple are just them sitting on the ground. One is the stance like say you were on a flying carpet. I am not seeing one like you would be in just a chair, with your legs at a 90 degree angle.

I just did a search in my DB for chair and it gave me 4 visual states

So try 20565 or 22783 and see what happens.

I assume that is what you want as far as sitting goes, this is visual_state 20565. The guard appeared to just sit on the ground when I used it the first time, I had to move it on top of the box so it appeared right.

Yeah now I feel like I wasted my time. The editor I was using was giving the ID of the row, not the ID of the visual state. So no matter what I was keying in, it was the wrong visual ID......Grrrrrr. I will correct the editor in the morning, I have been wasting my time trusting the editor as being correct.

There was another issue, but I finally figured out all of the issue. I now have a better understanding of visual states.
