Hello!
You might be noticing me hanging around with my annoying classic requests for a while :)

My name is Alexander and I'm Nettleville refugee. And I'm all about claaaaaaassic! If I could, I'd traveled back in time to play KoS-EoF-RoK EQII (PvP).

1st time I showed up I was pretty frustrated about EQII emu is about Live build. But lately I changed my mind. Since there is no chance forthe old build to show up, I hope someone will hook up the throwback server idea using current build if it's even possible.

I'm just a gamer with 0 programming skills, but if there will be something to help with (I can sweep Queynos streets for example), I'd like to help EQIIemu for sure.

P.S. English is not my strongest side, but I'm trying to do my best! So expect me to write some weird stuff from time to time :D

P.P.S. Guys! Allow my IP adress(Removed)! I'm sick of that vpn everytime I want to check http://eq2emulator.net/

Sik San,
Thanks for the introduction! I know many of the development teams are like myself; in the respect that we are always motivated to do great work when people like you are waiting patiently behind the scenes for content to drop.

Being a fan and an EQ2 gamer with EQ2 gaming experience you are a commodity. There are many ways you can help.
Question:
What can I do to help?

Answers:
Word of Mouth:
Talk about eq2emu to give our project exposure. Social Media, Twitter, Reddit and etc. are some great avenues to pursue. Discord app in my signature below is a great way to answer peoples questions, reconnect , or just shoot the shit via voice chat.

Content Testing:
Darklight Wood, Enchanted Lands and Frostfang Sea which are ready for testing and reports can be conducted in those realms. Although these lands are not completely playable anyone can log in and look for missing spawns and anything out of place.

Be an active part of our community
Check in regularly to read about progress updates on our forums, post and introduce yourself (which you did). Community is the most important part of any project! Building a foundation in the area will motivate every aspect of this project: whether it be coding the front end, making exciting and functional content, developing great legit or custom servers, or progression through gaming content with your buddies!

TLDR..
I want to thank you for your great post Sik San and welcome! Help us test and spread the word about eq2emu.

Welcome Sik San!

Yes I recognize you from both here on the forums and from Facebook. I wish it was possible to create a classic server. It would bring a lot of players to the table. We just don't have the data from classic to work with, plus the official server is to recreate live.

I understand that frustration very well, and a throwback server would be nice. Like Scribble said spread the word and maybe you can get someone interested in the project that will host/develop a throwback server.

Scribble has some great suggestions on our community members, such as yourself, to help out. If you want to take things to the next level there are a few things on the development side that can be done that require little to no programming. If interested speak with Jabantiz for more information.

Every time I try to PM him, I get "The requested users to be added do not exist."

Regarding classic: aye, it's a pity there is no data for the old build, but I think it's possible to mimick some of the core aspects to satisfiy ppl like me with the Live build. The only reason why DBG failed with their TLE is that they did not separate Live sytems from TLE, so any TLE fix could affect Live servers. So the lazyness was the killer. I'm assured, the right ppl could make pretty good throwback server, using the Live build.

If you are trying to send me a pm that is odd, I get pm's all the time. I can send you a pm first so all you have to do is reply if you want.

FYI, I do not see any restrictions on new or existing users that would disable the New PM button. All users are instantly granted Registered Users permissions upon registration, which has no posting or PM restrictions.

Post a screenshot of your Private Messages page here, and we can try to sort it out.

Initialy I wrote the msg title, but it resets after any failed sending attmept. (In case you might think I forgot about it). So, basically, nobody at these forums exists from my standpoint :D Solipsism for life!

Very perplexing. Perhaps you are just lucky? (or maybe we are!)

Anyway, you can see even down to your own user account, there are no restrictions. Maybe after the forum upgrade the problem will remedy itself. This software is painfully old (2009).

I even used the admin feature to test his permissions myself and it let me send pm's just fine, I have no clue what is going on to be honest.
