Hello friends!
I just stumbled across this forum quite by accident. I used to play EQ2 10-12 years ago so it's been a long time. At the time, for whatever reason, it just never grabbed me enough and I jumped ship back to old EQ. I enjoy running server repacks as I run my own private Axclassic EQ server, and I also run a private WoW WoTLK server for me and my wife. So I am quite excited to try your repack! As I said it's been a REALLY long time since I played EQ2 all those years ago and I really look forward to give it another go.
Thank you greatly for your hard work!
Well met!

Re: Well met!
Welcome to the forums!
We have a server pack, but it has become a little outdated. There just wasn't enough time to invest in keeping it updated.
While the latest pack can be used, the db is not updated and resides on a portable MySQL version included in the pack. Since you are probably already running MySQL, your best bet would be to download the db from the trunk of the content SVN to add to MySQL, or whatever you are using. I would also advise you to download the source and compile it yourself to get the latest executables.
If you choose the server pack you can point it to use a db from your MySQL server if you so wish. Another thing is the server will probably throw a few errors when launching and can be suppressed in the rules. I just cannot remember what ones they are at the moment, and will try to help of you use the server pack.
Be sure to check the wiki for a compatible client to connect with. The recommended is DoV or CoT.

Re: Well met!
Wow dude AX Classic? I think there are better options on running an EQ1 server than the AX Classic pack. Unless of course you have been running it for 5+ years and not wanting to update it.
Well met though!
