Notes, bugs, etc

i've been running around for a couple of days and thought i'd put all my notes in one place so i can figure out what to work on

i'm running build 12682L, Jun 6, 2016 - the last version that will run on winxp so some of my "bugs" may be due to that.

but first i want to /blowKisses and send /DarkElfChocolateAndRumCookies to whomever made the TS griff quest. i was happy to see someone else missed that quest and put it back in. :D :D

create char: while you can choose other options, seems you always start in frostfang

Not Implemented:
- collections not implemented
- appearance slots not implemented :cry:
- can't drag items to hotbars (tried quest thingie)
- my maps don't work at all (have eq2mapper)
- mounts don't work
- totem of the otter doesn't work, food/drink isn't doing anything either
- /wa doesn't work

Examine and Tooltips
- knowledge book: ability sort doesn't work
- no sorts anywhere appear to work

- hotbar tooltips: coming up 2-3 pixels high so unreadable

Broker:
- foreign broker on frostfang docks works and looks like everything in the world is there for 0c
- think i found a couple other brokers that work, not all of them though as the one in halas crafting area doesn't work

- none of the sorts work
- search is exact match "%s", in other words
"arrow bodkin" returns nothing, only "bodkin arrow" works
- <ctrl>click gives very weird stack sizes

Banks:
- iirc, all the bankers i've talked to work

Merchant:
- only merchant i've seen with anything is the <crafting trainer> in halas who has essentials and advanced 1-9. i was ts lvl 4 so wouldn't have seen anything else

Bags:
- i accidentally dragged bag 4 from the character sheet to the open bag 4 on screen. it said, "open" in the bag slot and when i closed it, it's gone along with everything in it

- closing bank doesn't close all the bank bags :(

- quiver can't be equipped

shared bank: boxes that toon1 put in shared bank are there for toon2 but there's no contents for toon2

Harvesting:
- been getting "\aITEM 14739 0 0 0 0:turtle meat\/a" from "creature den" in frostfang
- T1 only has [deer meat]

- not getting all items today (22nd)
- oh, yes i was. they were just going into my shared bank ??!!??

in Queen's Colony
in the front, there should be 3 [roots] and 3 [budding natural garden]
- maybe only 2 gardens but it's a fixed amount of each

Crafting:
- recipe examine, and spell examine : aren't displaying correctly

- the buffs aren't on the crafting window
- and they're not in my knowledge book for "lucky wolf paw charm" (these are not the regular ones)

crafted "lucky wolf paw charm"
- the stats on this are wrong. missing 7 wis, 7 int
- also: can't activate it

recipe: lucky wolf paw: i took 2 coal and 1 combine used them both even though it only needs 1. and now the 2nd combine didn't use any
- and then the next day, i only had 1 charm on this toon

Quests, Frostfang newb area mostly:

tutorial: learning to harvest
- quest reward "\aITEM 22227 0 0 0 0:Disassembled Storage Box\/a" doesn't unpack

repelling little critters
- after clicking the barrels, the "a raiding sporetender"s should run away
- not sure if this is visible to everyone or for how long they stay away

repelling little critters
- dbl clicked my quest thingie, immediate kicked to char select, and now my thingie is gone
- also, my melee and 1st spell are gone off hotbar
- try deleting quest and starting over
- good, got more "\aITEM 45806 0 0 0 0:crustose repellent prototype\/a"
- only the bottom half of the item icon is activated by r-click

scraggly foodstuffs
- harvesting anything for a quest should give you an automatic skillup if you need one. in this case Gathering

flame on!
- i'm supposed to get atk'd by several orcs after i light the signal fire
- quest stuck on: "kill the ambushing orcs!" as there aren't any

if i had a hammer FF
- turned in at crafting and went from lvl 1.5 to 4.45 which seems just a tad much
- message: arafa has gained a tradeskill level and is now a level 4 Shaper.
... shaper??

Quest, TS - yay!! the griffon quest is there
- no timer for Return the unhateched egg step
- after i ran back to TMV griffon tamer and turned in quest, he still has Quest Complete feather
- yay!! the griffons in TS work!!! /blows kiss

Zones

so far, the only world bell i've seen that works is FF docks (which is very far away from where you get with /zone)

CL docks: both world bell and freeport bell are in the same place

td docks
- world bell and KP bell in same loc
- appears to be 3 griffons spawned in same place and, at least, 2 trainers which don't work

zone-in CL -> WFP
- Invalid zone in coords, taking you to a safe point (ie) SFP by the bells)

Kelethin - world bell and carpet to SS in same place

Neriak
- on the dock is world bell and bells for TS and Nek
- the TS/Nek give error

IMPORTANT: /camp isn't taking any time since late on the 22nd. have rebooted server several times since then

iirc, this caused problems on live when it happened every once in awhile

chat channels in tabs

previously, i had Tradeskill items in the 3rd tab.

changed it so they don't show in 3rd, but in 1st and even after reboot of game they still show in 3rd tab even though they're correctly checked in the options

this error persists through logins / game reboot / server reboot

MOBS
- after you him them, they don't chase you so i'd hit them and back up and range them to death, hehe
- some mobs seem to chase you too long if you try and train by them
- there's this "a defiled soldier" that i got into combat with and also another mob. i pulled away so he stayed there and killed the 2nd mob. went back to deal with him and the name is in the air where he should be but he isn't really there. i am obviously looking at him as i move around but he's invisible and untargetable by click or tab
- there's a few mobs here that are aggro and have the aggro outline. then there's some that should be aggro but aren't, except if there's fighting around them, then they aggro but never get the aggro outline

quest: the art of combat
- i killed the strong sparring partner on another toon and he's not respawning
- average sparring partner doesn't appear to respawn either
- killed all 3 at 12:23. 12:40 they're still not back. relogging didn't help. 12:47 nadda. 12:56 still nobody

very little quest XP. i've done 3 quests and still lvl 1. my next quest is orange
- not getting any cash to speak of either

- on step "Put the parchment away" clicking that sentence does nothing
- there's actually 2 steps that say that and neither closes the window
- next step: kill Direspike - he doesn't spawn
... another thing that caused(?) server to hang OR it just choose that second to hang
- Deianeira has quest complete feather ?? but only says... "shhh. i'm trying to listen to the silence" but doesn't advance the quest

so in my quest journal
- all current quests with Sort by Current Zone are listed under Frostfang Sea
- Tainted has no text in quest helper. check to display, click another quest, quest disappears from helper
- in complete Tainted is listed but in correct zone
- Sort by Category lists them correctly

quest: into the tainted forest
- after returning the sticks to Pred Sha'dur, i still have 3 "\aITEM 2394 0 0 0 0:a pile of sticks\/a" in inventory

quest: joining the forward ranks
- "cleric mara'vaen"'s range is a little low for the lost scouts

have 2 quests for morak devourers and both are getting updated correctly

quest: doggone it!
- the range for "visit sapswill hill" is a little long

quest: the source of evil

- the Blademaster actually spawned when he was supposed to so this quest may have the hint for the other quests where the mobs won't spawn

Cool! the book "feeding the guurok" is readable

quest: "the source of evil", in the cave now
- i killed the goblins and destroyed the totems
- killed the necromancer "vith l'tar" and her minion "gobantik" didn't die
- 2 of the totems came back, 1 "killable" and the other not

This is a feature and ever since your status on the server was bumped you can log out instantly, if you make another login account that doesn't have status you will notice the camp timer again.

oh ok. they'd always said, on live, that you HAD to take that time to logout or else bad things happened. guess they misrepresented that also.
