Is there a way to make a spawn a solid object, without making it a widget? Problem....
So this is something I noticed. Widgets act strange. I can take a spawn and I can see it move across the screen at a great distance, and I can alter this distance by playing with SEND_SPAWN_DISTANCE. With widgets though, they do some crazy things like jumping across the screen or just plan stopping on their pathing. If I could make a spawn_npc a solid object that would clear it up totally. There could just be some things in the source that would make widgets act better, thought I would ask first.

Re: Spawn as a solid object
Let me elaborate more on what I have observed since the last time I approached this. I had most all of the logistics worked out. The timing of the boats, the moving around of the players between the zone. Even how to handle it if the player went LD. The issue I had were the boats acting strange. They would stop moving or jerk really bad. I know they were static spawns, I had them in an exception list so that they remained visible to the player, in fact they would keep moving even if no players were in the zone. So if I could get ther boats to act correctly I would be home free.

Look at the raft in frostfang, there was some special lua that needed to be made for that, not sure of all the details though as I was not involved in it, I just know it works and it appears smooth.

Well it is more complicated than that. I am very familiar with that raft. The raft does not work when it is out of visual range. Well hours later and many crash courses in the relations between spawn, npc and widgets I finally have most of it worked out.
The raft (gwen ii) did give me some initial information last year, but it also does not obey heading. I have the Maiden's Grace now following correct heading. So far so good. Thanks everyone for suggestions on this.
