Very nice! As a Java developer myself I can't wait to see what they do with the new venture. They have done pretty good open sourcing Java to date and it is waaay better now then back in the 1.2-1.4 days.

This is a good thing for open source, and while I still prefer PostgreSQL over MySQL for, well, everything, having it get this level of support is great.
