I just recently bought the game EQ2 and got all the way to ROK, now my question is this... do I have to patch the client to, or can i just install the game and run it as is? I'm not entirely sure about it....

Your best bet is to install the game from the RoK box and keep run it at that client version.

so...

so all i have to do is install the game and then the expansion and once done, change the default file and then use the everquest2.exe to load it the game so it don't start patching? Sorry... all this EQ2 is new to me and not too much to go on cept me asking... well... for me hha....

The RoK box set is the entire game. Install that. From that point on you are good. Just run Everquest2.exe (NOT EQ2.exe!) and you will be all set!

mmm

Just the alpha at the moment, but bearing in mind that this is being built from the ground up, beta should be sometime this year YAY! :D

Sorry about asking this but wanted to make sure.
To play the EQ2 emulator I should just buy the Ruins of Kunark box (nothing else whatsoever)? Then I can just follow the play guide instructions and I should be fine?
Again sorry but I have no job during the school year (so I barely have extra money to spend) and I didn't want to risk anything.
PS: This is great, I used to only play during the summer, now I can play all year!
