I just got through with the guide for setting up the DB deal for Win32... following this guide... http://eq2emulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=97
and I got to step 2 when and I created my account and such and I got the following...

Am I doing something wrong? I have tried to flip the 2 Usernames and Passwords, and I still get the same thing. Finally I get to the end of the guide where it says to load World.exe, and I get the following ....

Could this be due to Step 2? Also if you scroll down all the way to the end of the guide, you will see where Cadimiom tells me to Download and install "zlib.dll" into the folder where the World.exe is. I did so and still got the same error. I am thinking it has something to do with Step 2, but I can not seem to get it working at this time. Any help with that would be nice. Also, I do not believe that I have to have RoK installed for it to work. I re-read the guide several times, and nowhere did it say anything about it. Just said that it would patch itself.. sort of a DB patch vs. client patch, you know? Any help, any at all would be wonderful...

Could be mistaken, but perhaps all those words "Error" during the startup could be a problem.

Well I could be mistaken, but like i said, there was no where in the guide that said anything about needing the game files... if there was, then perhaps it should be in the guide. All ur help wasn't really helpful...

You have the wrong version of world. That guide was pointing to the original version of the server. It has since been updated to point to 0.4 (current version).

Then perhaps u can shoot me a link of the new set up guide so that way i can have the files Downloading.. Thanks for the help Lethal =)

*EDIT* One more thing. It installed everything just fine, and it had no problems, nor did I. The thing is, I restarted it a few more times like the guide advises, and It doesn't Download anymore. Could it be done? It only Downloaded one time. The first time I opened it. Just curious hehe. It updated my Database really nicely. only there isn't a lot in it. Will it update more as I put into it?

Yup it is done if it doesnt download anything else. BTW I am working on the login server right now so you will have connection problems for a bit.

Its ok for now... like i said, i won't actually have the RoK Box till tomorrow(?)... so atm its cool. I will just find something to make gear and such with. I would REALLY love to make gear and weps... knowing you, you're prolly going hardcore right? inserting sql commands? hehe...
