Race Screenshots

Post by LethalEncounter » Thu Aug 23, 2007 9:39 pm

We fixed the ability to change a players race in game. The /race command allows you to set your character's race to any valid appearance (including objects!). Here are a few of my screenshots:

Heh that was actually the hardest screenshot to grab because the animation for that model was for it to spin around really fast.

Nice to see this up and going. I think it will be cool to see all the models on hand in EQ2, especially for those of us that havent seen certain mobs, like high end ones.
Wondering if you could possible implent a way to make certain models default PC models. Of course you loose the ability to properly adjust various features, but It is something I though would always be cool in EQ1. You know, like instead of the Human Model, put in like a Gnoll model. Given the superb customizable design of things right now, Once could use totally different races and make sort of a whole new game.... ponders ponders.

All you would have to do is add a little code to the character creation process that would assign a new race type depending on the chosen race type. World reads the race type and spawns your character with that. As long as the race type was updated, you could make any character any race you want.

And lock a race ? (for example Froglock to doing the World Event for unlock)
