I know it's been posted elsewhere... in the board but in a different way could anyone post the login server.ini in full replacing personal ip's with insert your ip here. Having trouble logging into world from my server and just wanted to make sure that i'm not crazy.

I am running my server on a linux box that is in parallel with my windows machine inside of a router.

Code: Select all

### --- This file tells world.exe what loginserver to connect to.
### --- Leave the account and password field BLANK.
### --- NOTE: the word "Server" is added to each server automaticly.
# READ README.TXT
[LoginServer]
loginserver=eq2emulator.net
loginport=9100
worldname=myserver
worldaddress=whatsmyip
internalworldaddress=192.168.1.100
worldport=9000
locked=false
account=myaccountname
password=mypassword
#autotableupdates retrieves the latest table updates and applies them to your database
#autotableupdates valid options=always, ask, and never
autotableupdates=always
#autotableverbose displays detailed information about the updates; options=true or false
autotableverbose=true
#autotabledata retrieves the latest data for tables like the opcodes table; options=true or false
autotabledata=true
[WorldServer]
Defaultstatus=
Unavailzone=
[UpdateServer]
updateserveraddress=eq2emulator.net
updateserverport=9101
[LoginConfig]
ServerMode=StandAlone
ServerPort=9100

So anyone know if i could replace the area of "Whatsmyip" with a static dns? or would it have to be my global.

Here's mine, using the worldaddress as my no-ip dynamic DNS. I only changed out my account info, the rest is not really that secretive.

That looks good but you should add a # before internalworldaddress just for functionalities sake and make sure your world port is open on your router or firewall. (Refering to original poster)
John: I deleted your previous post as I am not sure what you were trying to get at. I hope I didn't upset you :(

that's very odd then server is set in a DMZ config files are set correct. Still not getting past character select. In the morn i'll try not being lazy and actually compiling from source. see if that helps but willing to listen to more troubleshooting ideas
All answered Support posts will most likely lead to a better Wiki and help me heh

You can actually kill this one too. I submitted my post with my config, and the forum made 3 copies. Not sure what's up, but all of a sudden things are getting very slow around here again.
No worries, link2009. Good job taking care of the spam/dupes.
