Try re-fetching the ZLIB headers and source files. LIB = Library so it's probably missing from your includes or it's just not there.
Just redownload zlib.
hmm..

A few things to check:
1. Is MYSQL running?
2. Do I have access to the database?
3. Is there even a database?
4. Did I edit the config file properly? (double check)

Mysql is running... service that i used for eqemu <1> as well as Ascent Emu neither running atm used one of the active accounts created new database for eq2.
Configs are the same in which i used for precompiled world.

Just a guess... open the World.sln, right-click on the World project and select Properties. Find the Linker section, and where it says something about Include Libraries, point a new line to your zlib dir.
Sounds like the linker cannot find zlib.dll.

lol John you're not on the ball today, he already fixed that

.
To linkdead, make sure you copy your new compiled World.exe to the directory where the config files are.
Or rightclick the world project and click Properties and set the current directory to where your config files are.

Oopsie. That'll teach me to try and reply while attempting to set my product up to monitor 3 clustered Exchange servers simulating 4 million emails per day without crashing. What a nightmare this week has been.
I admit, I do get excited when the servers catch fire.
