I troll these forums everyday, to see what kind of progress is being made. You guys have done a wonderful job so far and I can see the project coming along nicely.
I wish there was something I could do, but as ive stated in the past, I have crappy satellite internet, so until you release a minilogin or something where I can locally test stuff, then Im useless.
If theres anything I can do, please let me know.

I will actually have the perfect job for you soon if you are interested. I can give you an excel file with all the spells / abilities for all 24 classes and what I need done is the icons number value inserted into the proper locations. now you can get these values right from the station player website so if you are interested let me know and I can help you get started.

Edit:
Thought I'd add for what its worth:
I am a veteran EQ1 and EQ2 player. I played a chanter and a wizard up to epic 2x status on EQ1 and played a guardian serving primarily as the off tank and when the MT wasnt there as that in a raiding guild in EQ2. I havent played in over a year since I moved out to the "sticks" but I have my claymore quest completed on my Guardian.
There wasnt any Faydark or Kunark last time I could get on EQ2, so I'm a little behind the times, but I did play the game since launch and know a F-ton of info about the game.
In short, up to Tarinax in Death Toll, im good, so anything I can offer or help with that may or maynot help the project and give me a chance to one day play a game I love with my wife and kids, I'll gladly take.
=)

I also have time on my hands to do stuff. I love dealing with spells and items.
I have kinda figured out the spell icon stuff using the DirectX texture tool, I will post more about what I found later when I grab my notes :)
Edit:
From my investigations, icons get pulled from the *.dds files from this directory C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\Default\images\icons
file names go something like this
icon_is1.dds
icon_is2.dds
and so on.
The letters after the underscore determines where the icon is used.
is = inventory, bank slots, etc.
as = achievements
ss = skills
os = heroic opportunity
ms = macros

there is an easier way to get the icons.
just go to
http://eq2players.station.sony.com/spells/index.vm
click on a class it will list all the spells and if you look at the images they use the same numbering system as in the real game so just look at the image for the spell and you have the number.
here is the link for searing strike.
http://eq2players.station.sony.com/imag ... ll_233.jpg
the spell icon for this spell is 233.
Here is an excel spread sheet with all the classes and 90% of all the spells in the game. "all level 1 - 70 for all classes missing 71 -80 for a few classes."
just post here what class you will be adding the spell icons for so everyone knows. for icon type and icon2 you can look at the wiki and my youtube videos also on the wiki. all icon2 icons have values under 50 these are the heroic opportunity icons and there will be 2 sets of these for each types you want to fill the value in with the first set of icons.
icon type determines the background color of the icon1 spell so my suggestion to make it easy is fill in all the icon1 items then after you create a list in excel you can arrange them bye icon and mass fill in the values as any icon1 with the first value also shares the same icon2 and icon type values.

I can rip most of the other data from online. lets start with spell icons then I will add the data I have and see where we stand.
so icon icon2 and icon type should be good.
