Congrats on the new birth. I too recently upgraded my whole site to a Dell Poweredge 2900 III with dual quad core (3405 something) and 8gb ram. It now hosts 7 emulators as virtual machines and all my other shit without even blinking an eye.
I was able to shut down 4 physical machines that were doing nothing more than making noise and generating heat.
I love hardware.

You must have skipped that part about backing up your downloaded DB before nuking it to try again.Sabor wrote:did everything to a T
If it's not in the instructions, it certainly has been posted numerous times.
Set your initial server up. Run EQ2World.exe. Once the DB is done, use MySQL Tools to back up eq2db (or whatever you named your database). Then, when you f'it up and want to try again, you have a clean DB. Tada.
(if it makes you feel any better, I am one of the DB Devs, and I get hit with this almost monthly - tee!)
