Would you guys be interested in a configurable feature that gives players interest on the money that is put into their bank? I think it would be neat, but I dont want to go through the hassle of coding it if noone will use it.

This sounds like an interesting idea.
But at the same time, if you consider this on Live, imagine how many people would just deposit 1 platinum and end up getting a bunch of gold every day.
In the end, it depends on the method of interest..Compound Interested or Simple Interest.

Sounds like an interesting idea giving the playerbase will be mostly offloading loot onto tightwad vendors.

I think it's a cool custom feature, making it optional and configurable by perhaps a system "Rule" al la EQEmu rule system. Or for now a variable value.
Sure, if it's simple, go for it. :)

Since you brought up banking features... How about an option for regional banks by city?

Didn't the game used to split the banks up, Freeport and Qeynos banks were not linked on the same acct? I honestly haven't checked if that's still the case, but since Guild Banks came into play, it kinda negated the "block" of evil chars xferring goodies to their good toons.

The regular bank slots were always separate, although they recently added 4 more slots for a total of 12. The Shared bank slots were recently joined (share between good and evil now possible) so you now have 8 shared slots and you have the ability to share coin which is also shared between good and evil.

They are split that way, which is split by good and evil alignment. I was thinking each city had its own bank.
Example. A dark elf deposits money and items in a Neriak bank. If he goes to the bank in Freeport, he can use it, but it would be empty.
While it is convenient, and every MMO seems to make these global banks, I like the idea of it being regional. I always wondered how I was able to deposit items in a Qeynos bank, and withdraw the items in Maj'Dul.
This is definitely not high on my want list right now, as there are many more important things to be done. I only mentioned it since LE brought up optional features.

It could definitely be done, although I'm not sure anyone would like such a feature unless they were "hard-core" ultra realistic players. I know I would start to get irritated if I had to walk through 10 zones to get to a specific bank when there was a bank in my character's current zone.

It wouldn't be too sucky if it were a configurable extra. Maybe throw the idea into the Custom Code pile for post release.

If this was created, I would expect it to be a configurable option.
A group of my friends are big into RP. This is just one feature I have on a long list of ideas for the emulator. Every so often I'll add to or edit the list. I figure some day there will be a time to request, or to learn to do it myself.

There is a feature request forum here as well. Though once 1.0 is released, I hope we'll end up with a Custom Code forum as well. While I am hardcore "live" emulation, enhancements always make for a great experience.
