EQ2Emu is still ticking, making good progress in setting up a basic structure for gameplay.
If you have not read the forums Tarzok is posting progress updates at http://www.eq2emulator.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=6 , there will be another update by the end of next week that will go into greater detail of eq2emu's progress.
