Inspired by a recent hello thread I though I would start this topic. The idea is simple,
How much of a background do you have with EQ2. In addition to the normal posting, I decided to make this a poll so enjoy.
-----------------
I myself played EQ2 when it debuted, after beta. I remember the original starting island, the Refugee Island and the infamous Ship tutorial. The lack of PVP prior to DoF and the crappy tradeskill system.
I played a Paladin up to about level 20 and then ran into some RL issues and drop the game. It helped that I could barely run it at minimum settings. About a year or so passed and when I came back, I came back with a KoS box set cause I couldnt remember the password to my original account.
When I come back, I thought I would shoot for a caster class so I made a Conjorurer(spelling?). I was then spoiled on the solo-ability of a Conji so I rarely grouped. I drove this character to about level 20 and then got a invite to a guild. Raids were fun in EQ, but EQ2 was amazing for the first time. The EXP and loot sucked, but the Raid system was top notch. I then doubled on a traitor Iksar Monk and my Conj up to about Level 40 for both and then I droped the game yet again.
It was Febuary of this year (07) when I last played so I havent expierenced the likes of Faydwerer and the Fae themselves.
So, as you can see, I myself dont have a whole huge detailed background of EQ2. I can still recall somethings from earlier this year, but alot of stuff has left me.
So now you know a little about the extent of my EQ2 knowledge and career. Feel free to share your stories.

I started EQ2 during beta, when things were very rocky. When It went Live, I of course followed, hoping it would be more stable and what not, and suprisingly, It was. I was one of the first level 50s on my server, as a SK, and since during that time, several guilds had a handful of 50s, but there was no true raid force, we formed what was known as the Lavastorm Alliance.
This Alliance soon proved the be a great thing, as we conquered a lot of the raid content that was available at that time ( this was pre= instanced raid zones ).
At the Begining of DoF, I was frustrated at the way SKs were being handled, so I decided to reroll as a Troubador, Outleveling again most of the server to 60. I then went to Nektulos server, were I joined one of the best guilds around, Dissolution, which had the reputation for doing world firsts.
As Kingdom of Sky was released, I tore through levels and AAs once again, to level 70, and enjoyed the vast raid content of that expansion

I played in beta, quit for a year or two since I didn't like it too much. Played a mystic and a few others to low 30s, got my scholar level up to 35 in two days using a little automated mouse program i made in VB. That's about it, I'm pretty much a newb.

I am the CEO of $ony Entertainment and thus the success of the franchise named "EverQuest II" is due to me being alive.
I've known about EQ2 since it was announced and I've played it for 4 years.

I am a seasoned Beta and Alpha tester for many game developers. Well over 20 games and expansions tests under my belt. I have a knack for finding exploits and broken code.
I have played SOEs Everquest since 2000 up to EQ2 release. Beta tested EQ2 original release, DoF, KoS, and EoF. I am waiting on RoK beta information.
I have a personal EQ server and WoW server just for fun. I hope I can assist in the continued development of EQ2 Emu.

I played EQ2 in December of 04 and then conitinued until November of 06 and had a 52 Berserker. I left the game because I was bored of it and I went to DDO Online and WoW. Hated both of those so went back to EQ2 and I play it still now. I have a 70 Berserker and 59 Brigand on the Nektulos Server. I was a huge raider and that is what made me create a Brigand but I never got it to level 70 because I dont have that kind of time anymore. I now play it sparingly.

I play it the last month from beta and bought the retail game. After a while I realize that the game was to much for my pc. When I enter a city and had to wait for the load time I was sitting 3 min waiting for it to load. So after a while I get so anoyed that I quit that game due loading time. It was to much for my pc by that time :D
With my system now it is a different story. It take I think 10s or so to zone to another zone or city. But lost interest in that game to pay every month for it. But for the emu I bought the whole new game and hope to see a great emu for this game.
