Crashing cannot connect.

Post by Tyr » Fri Aug 01, 2008 11:04 am

So, been running the emulator for a while now without any problems, then about a week ago I suddenly would crash every time I tried to log into a server, even my own. So I thought to myself “well, I have been messing around with some of the game files, I probably broke somethingâ€

I'm not sure what the problem is for you, but I am about to get the live version working so be sure to update to live today at the latest.

Tyr, do you delete any cache, login* folder files, and/or "crash*.*" type logs in the EQ2 dir? I remember a long time ago that clearing these things out between launches helps a lot. Not sure if that's how it will be forever, but it works for me.
Here's my batch file I used to launch EQ2Client:

Code: Select all

cd /d "D:\Clients\Everquest II 4812L"
rd cache /S /Q
del logincache-us\*.* /Q
del *crash*.log
start everquest2.exe
Obviously change the first line to the full path to your EQ2Emu client dir.
