Offensive Spells cast: Auto-Attack

Post by John Adams » Tue Aug 05, 2008 3:58 pm

I am pretty sure on live, when you cast one of your offensive spells/abilities, you turn to your foe and start auto-attack. I could be wrong. But if not, can we add something to the server that turns on auto-attack if the spell is offensive?
Not sure if there are any cases where this is not true. Anyone?

This is only true with Combat Arts. Spells do not start Auto-attack.

Ok, I guess I never drew the line at the difference, but you are right. So something like "Faithful Swing" or "Kick" is considered a Combat Ability, not a spell? Even though there's a cast timer?

Yes Faithful Swing and Kick are Combat Arts. Pretty much all melee spells are combat arts. Combat Arts have shorter cast times, can be casted while moving, and can only be inturrupted by stuns.

Cool, thanks.
K, then my request stands. While executing a Faithful Swing at my opponent, I just stand there like a dumbass not doing anything while I watch my cooldown.
Does this need to be a LUA command to engage auto-attack after executing a combat art?
