Sytherian Legends - A Custom Legit Experience

Well since John got post 1, I figured I would take #2...



Name: Sytherian Legends

Availability: closed for testing now, 24x7 upon release
Description: Sytherian Legends is going to be a Custom Legit EQ2 server. This server is going to be a totally unique experience. All quests, mobs, etc. will be totally custom. EQ2 zones are going to be re-arranged to form cohesive continents as illustrated in this diagram (alright things have changed a tad from the diagram, its old):

Here is a little teaser of Sytherian Legends- The world map. The initial game release is going to occur only on Tunis, Valis and the Piscean Islands. Subsequent releases will add other continents.

Well now, as the lore development continues on the Sytherian Legends server, I figured it was now time to start drumming up some more interest. Over the course of the next few weeks I will be periodically releasing some images to the masses. These images will consist of some lore details for the races and the classes that are going to be available for play on Sytherian Legends. One thing to note is that on SL is that just because it is available on Live does NOT mean it will be available here. All 19 races will be available, however only 16 classes are going to be available for play. This is because, as anyone who raids on Live can tell you, 24 classes/24 raid slots doesn't work well. I want every class to be viable for raiding, and still have some padding for those classes you have to have more than one of.

I will be releasing these images in pairs, one race and one class, until I run out of classes.

Just a note, although several "oldschool" classes may be making a return (6 in all) every single class in Sytheiran Legends is intended to play differently than in EQ2 (or 1 for that matter). For instance, Rangers have pets, Inquisitors are melee dps (+ healing, don't worry) and Warlocks are buff/debuffers.

As for help writing, I can always use more help.

uba, this server looks pretty bad ass from the sound of it. I can't wait till I get my new gamin system to test this out. right now I don't have a system able to run a game like EQ2 ( Damn Sony and their graphics ).

When I say "oldschool" I mean the over 30-mumble crowd who rather like when EQ was a tightknit group of folks with minimal griefing and rp that didn't revolve around "interspecies relations" (ahem).
