/spawn set targetable

Post by John Adams » Thu Aug 07, 2008 9:31 pm

Last bug of the night. I am about to pass out. :)
Zcoretri asked me earlier how to set things as targetable. When I just tried, it didn't seem to work like I remember. "good_bench" for instance, in my world is spawn ID 2530120. When I type in the command, it says the spawn was updated, but the bench is still not targetable.
I went into the DB and forced targetable, show_name, show_level, attackable, everything I could find to 1, and still I cannot move the benches anymore. I do not know when this stopped. I could have sworn I flipped that backwards bench around a few weeks ago, but who knows.
Can you give it a try on your server(s)? Maybe it's my data?

I fixed it for you. You had display_hand_icon and show_command_icon set when they shouldnt have been. Odd that it wouldn't let you target them when they were like that tho :/

I already know how to set things to be targetable, I just had a brain fart and forgot it's part of the /spawn set command. I usually just directly change things with my DB editor, and wasn't using /spawn set commands much on my local server. :)
While I'm composing this, been meaning to ask you LE about regular 'ole signs. For the life of me I cannot get them to display correctly. The only way I get them to display text is when it acts like a zone door and it highlights the item.

Actually what you saw in my DB was the result of turning one thing on manually after the other, until all things were on and still I could not click the bench.
If you got it to be moveable, I'll check out the settings when I get home. The goal is to set every object as moveable for the content team to set things up, then they will make them untargetable and show_name = 0 again when they are done.
Thanks for checking into it.
