All game languafe support ?

Post by alfa » Fri Sep 21, 2007 5:37 pm

Just some question for Devs ^^
The emu can handle EN client for sure, but did you know if server support game with another language ?
Because when you install the game in french (for example) you cannot see EN or other server, same if you install EN game you cannot see french server in list. So it could be just a limitation with the language argument or not ;P
And for RoK box version. For all expension (DOF, KOS, EOF) they don't release same version for all languages so the emu can have a multiversion support?
Fight with me... Or die, like the rest.

As of this moment 9/21/07 8:43 pm we are only operating in english. I already offered in another thread to help translations in the few languages i know. Who knows EU and Esp Support will be implimented in the future just have to wait and see. And learn to read english chat.

I think hes asking about language specific clients. Like his French Clients only show french servers, and English Clients cant see the French Servers, in which case, so long as there isnt much changes in the way of op_codes and such, I would imagine that one could very well make the server scale over to other languages. It will be up to the person that needs that lanugage type though, as I dont think the devs have the time to code multiple version of the client for each language out there.

I don't believe there are OP_Code changes to the locale. As far as I know, you need to send a packet to the server to show your language preference and then the server calls for your new LANGUAGE-Specific files because when you choose a new language new files are created.
