Server not accepting connections

I am not sure what time this happened (last timestamp i see is 1220255012 in the console), but I saw a toon log on (account_id 1510) then apparently log off (though I do not see the disconnect) and 2 attempts to delete that accounts characters - then, nothing.
Now when I try to connect to Tess, the LS tells me it cannot - and I see no attempt to communicate with my server.
The Console is also showing 1 zone started, 1 client connnected - though I am fairly certain no one is actually connected due to no activity in the console - though they could be standing still.
I will investigate on this end, in case Qwest once again reset my DHCP, but thought I would ask you to see if you can hit my server and see what the actual error you are getting back could be before I restart.
Edit:
My IP has not changed since last Wed. While entering this edit, I saw the TCPConnection to the LS vanish, so maybe that's still the problem.

Code: Select all

69.60.121.221:9100: TCPConnection::RecvData(): Error: 10053

Ok, I don't know what info to give you except the console text, but this is not the first time it's happened. Eventually we'll catch it.
Thanks for looking. If you want to see the console text, let me know and I'll send it to you. It doesn't say much except some command index errors and the delete char requests.

Are you running on windows? If so could you use regedit to modify HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\CriticalSectionTimeout to 30? Then reboot and run in debug mode so that if it throws the exception you can catch it. It should throw it if the thread is locked for 30 seconds and it will hopefully tell use enough to fix it.
Currently the default is set to 30 DAYS :P So it would have eventually thrown an exception heh

Yeah, this server is Windows so I'll set that up and recompile public SVN in debug. I'll let ya know when it happens again. :)

LE, I cannot get the debug running server to accept a connection. Crashes immediately, memory alloc error. I can give you more details, but here's the other interesting part.
Running a compiled DEBUG version, with CriticalSection set to 30 on the host, and right now I am watching Scatman trying to connect and getting denied - I am seeing no breaks in the code whatsoever. So the above debug method may not be working, or not where the problem is?
Anyway, this is a fresh start of the server - I am the only one that is logged in, or has been logged in for a while. Scat is the next that attempted, and is unable to connect. The only thing I can see in the console that is happening is that the 5 zones I went to have shut down, and I am standing in the last one now - and no new connections can be made.
Dunno how to troubleshoot this one, but it happens daily. I could try running the server for a few days with only the stock DB, or without scripts set, to see if it's data related. Let me know what you think.
One more thing; while I am in game, I can /zone anywhere without problems. This is only about new connections being made, it appears.

Ok, I take that back (a little). Seems me and a few others can connect to TessEQ2 just fine right now, while I see Scatman trying, but failing. So it's just him. :D
Scat, you got any input on why you might not be able to connect right now? Server is running, 3 active connections right now.

I was able to get on and zone around :)

Not sure. I can connect to my server just fine. I'll try again.

Just tried again and still no beans. I'm using client 5082T. It gets hung up on "Logging into zone server" on Scat and when I try my other character it immediately kicks me back to prompt screen for account name and password.

I connected to Scat no problems :)

I get the same thing occasionally Scat, where I am kicked to login. But if I try again, it works fine.
Did you try creating an entirely new toon? Oh, you know what I just thought of? If you camped while in a zone "antonica" and since your last login, Zexis or I changed it to "WeLoveTheQueen", you are fucked. :)
Let me check that. I'll bet that's it.

That was it, Scatman. Zexis screwed you! ;)
j/k it was a hellish day, which I may or may not be able to tell you the conclusion tomorrow after an emergency company meeting... ~shudder~ so sorry I didn't think of that first.

I see how it is! :P Thanks for fixing that.
