Race/Class quest restrictions

LE/Scatman,
I was thinking of those mentor quests, how they are Race-specific. We will eventually have the ability to check the actual race ID if a player to branch the scripts properly, but I was thinking about the quest icons. Do we have the functionality to NOT show the offer quest icon for those ineligible for such a quest, be it race, class, faction or level etc?

That is what the SetQuestPrereqLevel, AddQuestPrereqQuest, AddQuestPrereqItem, AddQuestPrereqFaction functions currently do. If a user does not meet all the prereqs they cannot see the quest flag. I will need to add an additional prerequisite for race, but if these other ones currently do not work please let me know.

Sorry, I forgot about the PreReqs. You think we need one for Class, too?
I think the only pre-req we've used so far is quest.

Yah that is probably a good idea too. I'll also add the tradeskill prereqs in too. Any other ones you can think of?

Anything in EQ2 about minimum group size / raid size?

Not that I can think of. You can usually always get a group or raid quest, it's just going to be hard or impossible to do with a group or raid.

The quest also gets flagged "Heroic"or "Epic" depending on the difficulty of the quest.

The only thing that that something like that would be needed for is entering certain zones a party of a certain size is needed (Court of Al'Afaz for example)

That's what I was thinking of. But as Scat said, you still get the quest, you just cannot enter the zone without your party(?) - al la Firemyst Gulley?

From my experience, if a party is anywhere in the same zone, and someone clicks on the party zone, everyone gets sucked in. For example, if you have a party in Antonica, and one person is at the druid ring, one at the Qeynos gate, one near Blackburrow, and you're doing the part of the Boots HQ where you have to kill Grandpa Rucksif <sp?>, and someone clicks on the entrance at the Bell Tower, everyone zones.
Pretty cool huh?

That's a fairly new feature they put in, first time I encountered it, I was on the EL docks and went into the new Runnyeye instance...freaked me out...but its cool
