It is the same price
When you buy RoK you have 2 choices:
- Update an existing account (if you aleready have all extention and adventure pak it just add Rok, if isnt it update all product you don't have).
- Create a new account with all extension and adventure pak.
It is $OE rule and it figure is the only way (atm) for make sure you having a compatible version.

That funny... I was just noticing at the local best buy they had over 40 RoK boxes. I have never seen that many EQ2s in one place ;op

Please search and read. Go to the news section and read the latest post for client compatibility, and then read the many post about how to obtain thoes clients.
I will say it again so you dont have to go look for the information.
The emulator will work with 3 different clients.
-One client is a updated version prior to the RoK release.
-One client is the boxed/DD version of RoK, which is all of EQ2 rolled into one.
-The last client is after the RoK release, patched before Nov 18th.
If you do not have the first and second clients, guess what, you have to the middle one. The reason that the middle one is there is to allow anyone to come and have a oppurtunity to play since we cant choose what patches we have and when to stop.
The only method that we can speak of and share with you to get the oppurtunity to play the emulator is to go out and purchase a RoK box, wether that be from brick and mortar, or online. You can also get a DD (digital download) from various companies.
