Although I have done some test population on Sytherian Legends, most of the work is still on paper. I am currently working on the website (linked in my sig) and hope to get it up by the end of August. I have most of it done, but I want it to be as complete as possible to give people a reason to go there Shortly before I released the teaser, I had redesigned the site for the original implementation to closer match this site. I am also currently working on finalizing alot of the zone lore. The worldwide lore has been written out (as far as the next 3 expansions actually, I am wacky like that) so now it is just a matter of doing the small stuff.

Once EQ2Emu goes Beta (version 7 I believe), work will begin in earnest in populating the server. The reason I am waiting for Beta is because I want the database structures to finalize (as much as they can) so I am not reentering data constantly. At that point I will put out a call for people to assist me. The initial release should consist of approximately 16 overland zones with like 70 dungeons, city zones, raid zones, etc. conencted to them. We will Beta zones as they are completed in a closed Beta, and once the 16 overland zones and a good portion of the other zones are completed, beta will open to all.

Sounds absolutely dreamy, Zexis. I continue to wish you luck on this endeavor. Part of me feels we are making the entire emulator server for opportunities like this - customized, new worlds to bring a new spin on an old favorite. It is because of how our emulator is being built that stuff like this is possible - hardly any constraints!

I hope I am at least half as ambitious as you when it comes to releasing the final "Tess" server.

FYI, EQ2Emulator Beta will start at version 0.8, so we're still quite a ways off from that. The Database should start settling down now concerning spawns and placements. As features are implemented, the DB will merely grow as needed.

Exactly, I can't wait to be able to level up on people's customized servers. After the emu gets to beta, I think it will be much more exciting than Live as the variations between Worlds are endless

The release is more dependant upon the database changes calming down than Beta. I am still shooting for when v7 comes out to begin populating.
